Finished – Weekend Assignment

Take 36 different photos of a chair — only 36 exposures.  Share all 36 photos, and choose your favorite 3 and share those separately (or at the top of your entry or something).

No retouching, no messing, no funny business — WYSIWYG.  (What you see is what you get.)
My downfall – I’m too literal.  After I did this I realized how I could have been a lot more creative.  sigh…  Anyway, this was an exercise in patience for me.  I had to stop and think about each frame, and how I would shoot it.  This is a large departure from my “shoot as many frames as possible and hope at least one turns out” shooting style.

  1. I like #13 the best but would have liked it more if the frame had been split into 3rds, and the chair was entering the photo from the far right. Make sense? Your colors are great and it has a bit of an Alice in Wonderland feeling to me.

  2. I’ve got to agree – your top 3 are my favorite. I absolutely love the colors in all of them though – the pop of the chair with the grass. Love it! 🙂

  3. I really have to work in thinking about framing pictures in thirds, especially if I’m not retouching them. I usually cheat and crop images after the fact.

  4. I’m in love with your chair. I agree about the Alice and Wonderland feeling, it’s very whimsical. My favorite is 23.

  5. Great contrast! Numbers 1 and 3 are my favorites. I really like 24 as well and love the use of the sun flares. Great photos.
